| O nás v tisku: Díky okrašlovacímu spolku se v hříbečku rozeběhly hodiny |
 Po mnohatýdenní snaze prostějovského okrašlovacího spolku byly osazeny a uvedeny do provozu nové hodiny v meteostanici na Vojáčkově náměstí.
Jejich umístění proběhlo poté, co se ty původní, téměř sto let staré hodiny, propadly do útrob stanice. Ředitel hvězdárny následně rozhodl o jejich opravě a umístění do muzea. Montáž provedl místopředseda spolku Jiří Svatoš ve spolupráci s hodinářem panem Krčmářem, který hodiny dodal. Celou akci spojenou s nákupem nových hodin a jejich instalací financoval místní okrašlovací spolek z členských příspěvků a sponzorských darů.
"Náš spolek byl obnoven v září tohoto roku a uspořádal již několik akcí, například slavnostní zahájení s kulturním programem, zasazení líp na výročí 28. října.
Na přelomu ledna a února pak uspořádáme setkání okrašlovacích spolků z celé republiky. Všichni, kdo nás chtějí podpořit, jsou vítáni," uvedla předsedkyně spolku Milada Sokolová.

Na závěr je třeba dodat, že nové hodiny nejen ukazují čas, ale také, byť velice potichoučku odbíjejí jak hodiny celé, tak i půlhodiny. Přijďte se tedy podívat a ve správnou hodinu též poslechnout.
